The first company of the group was created in Andorra in 1999. The company started its activities as a plastic card manufacturer with a sales force selling in Europe and around the world. The industrial facility of the company is equipped with latest technology machinery in a highly secured environment with a production capacity of over 80 Million cards per year.

Milestones of TAG Systems

End 1999 - early 2000 TAG Systems Andorra obtained the certification to produce cards under MasterCard and Visa brands.

2002 Opening of the first company abroad, CardTag Spain in Barcelona-Spain; to concentrate in the competitive Spanish market.

2005 Opening of TAGRUS in Moscow-Russia to get closer to our customers, in Russia and CIS countries.

2003 TAG Systems Andorra obtained Visa and MasterCard certification for EMV chip embedding and pre-personalization.

2006 TAG Systems Andorra obtained CQM (Card Quality Management) certificate from MasterCard.

2007 Opening of TAG Systems Finland Oy, in Helsinki - Finland. The company concentrates its sales force in Finland and the neighboring Baltic Region. The company in Finland employs a highly skilled team of engineers with many years of experience in smart card and EMV. This team is giving technical support to the companies of the Group on smart card projects and EMV migration cases.

2007 Opening of TAG Systems Poland sp. z o.o. in Warsaw, Poland. Here like in Spain, the activities of the company are in its home market.

2007 TAG Systems Andorra gets ISO9001 quality certificate.

2007 Registration as a member of ICMA (International Card Manufacturing Association).

2008 TAG Systems Andorra was announced as Diners Club International Approved Card Manufacturer.

2008 Opening of TSG Norway AS in Mo i Rana, Norway. The company is in charge of the Scandinavian countries and UK.

2009 Opening Of TAG Systems Smart Solutions S.L in Madrid, Spain. The company will operate in Spain together with the office in Barcelona.

2010 Opening of personalization sites in Finland and Spain giving full value chain services to customers in Finland, Baltic’s and Spain.
